How we make them
Small batches, poured by hand. No two come out exactly alike, which is the point.
Melt
100% soy wax is melted slowly in small batches. It burns cleaner and slower than paraffin.
Colour and scent
Dye and fragrance oil go in at the right temperature so the scent holds and throws well.
Pour
The wax goes into silicone molds with a cotton wick set in place, one candle at a time.
Cure and finish
Each candle cures for 48 hours, then gets trimmed, checked and packed by hand.
Burn it right
- First burn: let the melted wax reach the edges before blowing it out, usually 1–2 hours. This stops the candle from tunnelling.
- Every burn: trim the wick to about 5 mm first, and burn for no more than 3 hours at a time.
- Where to place it: on a plate or holder, away from fans, curtains, pets and kids. Shaped candles like peonies and laddoos melt as they burn, so they drip.
- Mithai and chai candles: they look real, but they're wax. Keep them away from small children.
- Always: never leave a lit candle alone.
